Greetings from Kona!  We are here to help out with a couple of events.  We came a little over a week ago and were here to help get ready for the YWAM’s (Youth With a Mission) President’s Gathering which was a conference for base directors and training directors from the larger bases around the world.  There were about 80 people attending.  How delighted people were to get to gather together in person again!  The founders, Loren and Darlene Cunningham, were both able to share as well as updates on development from locations all over the world.

That conference ended on Monday afternoon.  Then we had a day to set up for another conference which is happening at King’s Mansion, which is a property about 10 miles south of the main campus where we are staying.  This is a 8 day conference for the Core International Leadership Team who is over the University of the Nations.  There are 25 people here in person and about 10 people joining by Zoom since they were not able to attend.

What a blessing it has been to spend time with and get to know people who love the Lord and are serving him in various ways all over the world.

I have been helping with all kinds of logistics…registration, schedules for accommodations and transportation, running sound, taking minutes for the meetings, cleaning bathrooms… basically, whatever needs to be done.  The main reason we came for this time was for Darrel to be able to be here for the conference that is happening now.  He (as a software engineer) and the project leader, Vince, need to be able to take the decisions that are made during this conference and know how they need to further develop the software and app that run the Record Systems for the University of the Nations.  Please pray for these leaders as they look to God for direction and for them as they make decisions.  Looking forward, the next development sprint will be in Switzerland in June.
