This winter has been so different from last year. Last year we were in our motorhome in AZ for the whole winter. This year we have rarely been in our motorhome…because there has been many other places to be. Don’t get me wrong, our motorhome serves us well and we are thankful for it! We were in Switzerland from November to January. Since getting back we spent 5 nights in the motorhome in AZ before heading to Spokane to join family to celebrate my younger brother and his wife’s 10th Anniversary and vow renewal. It was wonderful to be with everyone and we treasure the moments we get to spend together. Then we were back in the motorhome for 4 nights before flying to Houston, TX. We are here for two weeks for a development sprint. This is the same group/project that Darrel has helped with over the last 8 years. Darrel, a project manager and 4 other developers are here together to work on developing a mobile app for Youth With a Mission’s University of the Nations. People flew in from Switzerland, Brazil, Billings, MT, and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They rented an Airbnb and moved the furniture out of the living room and set up tables from Walmart, ordered in monitors from Amazon and created a work environment.

Here’s some action shots of them working…it’s about as exciting as it gets. It is usually just hours and hours of each of them at their computers and all you hear is the sound of them typing.

I get to be here to fix food for the team, which I enjoy doing.
