It’s been a year since we moved out of our “sticks and bricks” home into our home with wheels. To celebrate I headed to the laundromat because Darrel was down to one clean t-shirt. I was met by a closed sign on the only laundromat in town. Thankfully the owner came out and let me know they were in fact open…apparently there is only one water shut-off for the building with multiple businesses in it and someone else had an issue. I got the laundry done, so we have clean clothes for at least another week. Darrel celebrated by putting in a full day of work. 🙂
We were visiting today about how different this year feels. We were so aware of the seasons when we owned our home. Every spring was met with a list of projects we wanted to accomplish so that we would be ready to get out and enjoy everything summer once the weather got nice. Now that we are travelling, the projects have changed, now it is maintenance on the motorhome and frankly we have a lot more time for other things. Speaking of maintenance, there always seems to be something that needs to be fixed. The strings broke on our shade so after a couple of weeks of bungee cording them up everyday, we were able to get new ones installed! I think Darrel did a great job!
We enjoyed our time up at Mission Builders in Lakeside, MT. We were there for a board meeting. If you are looking for a place to serve or volunteer be sure to check out the opportunities that they have at www.missionbuilders.org
After the meeting we moved over to Plains, MT so we can be close to our daughter. It has been so fun to be close enough to hang out and spend time together spontaneously! We had the fun opportunity to get to go to Yellowstone last weekend to meet Darrel’s second cousin and his family from Virginia. Spring in Montana/Wyoming is never predictable though…we experienced snow, sleet, and rain…and even a little bit of sunshine.
We are looking forward to a great summer!
