Beautiful Places…when I scroll through my pictures from this last year I am amazed at how many beautiful places we have seen!  I added many more to that collection as we camped on the Palm Canyon Road for the last two weeks.

I loved popping open the shade on our front window to watch the sunrises over the mountains and I took a lot of sunset pictures…trying to capture the beauty which is impossible.

We were about 45 minutes from Quartzite.  It was a dead end road so the only people out there were there to camp or to visit the Canyon to see the palm trees, so traffic was limited.  We enjoyed the peace and quiet of being so remote.  Yesterday as we drove into the Phoenix area we felt a bit of sensory overload.

On another note, as we were driving west yesterday we had something go wrong with the steering.  We were able to safely get to the side of the road and determine it was not safe to continue so we called for a tow truck.  When the tow truck driver arrived he  commented that you can’t find a much more desolate area in Arizona to break down.  Of course, when you have your home right there, you have cold drinks in the fridge and can have lunch whenever you want.  I have a new appreciation for the type of tow truck required to safely move a motorhome!  We are thankful for roadside assistance!  Stay tuned…as of now we are still waiting to hear what is wrong with the motorhome.
