Sometimes your days just don’t turn out as expected…

Thursday evening Darrel flushed the toilet and a plastic piece inside of it broke.  (Just saying, I am glad it happened when he did it and not me!)  Well, when you are a one throne household, that is a serious problem.  Generally, when something breaks, the first place we turn is YouTube and Google to figure out what piece broke and how it can be fixed.  After some research, we came to the conclusion that replacing the 18 year old toilet would be our best decision rather than trying to repair it.  First thing Friday morning we were on the phone trying to locate one close to where we are staying.  We found one in Show Low at a RV store that was about an hour drive away.  Once we got got it, Darrel immediately went to install it.  Of course, any plumbing project never seems to be without a hiccup or two and after two trips to the local Ace Hardware for a couple extra fittings, we once again have a functioning toilet.  It flushes SO nicely and works so well.  So, there you go, a thankfulness post and it isn’t even November yet. 🙂

Speaking of thankful, yesterday we moved down to Lyman Lake State Park.  It was an easy move…a mere 13 mile drive from from where we were staying.  It is a lovely place and the sunrise here this morning was beauitful.

This is looking down on the Lake from the Buffalo hiking trail.  There are several hikes in the area that lead to Petroglyphs and Ruins.
